About the Project: The «University Library» is an information system that manages the operations of the library at the private university «Profi University». The project was developed in 2023–2024. Its main purpose is to account for the library’s material resources, digitize library processes, and manage them through a centralized information system.

Project Features: The «University Library» information system provides the following capabilities:

• Managing the activities of the university library service;

• Searching and using electronic library resources through the electronic catalog module;

• Adding and using electronic and audio books, as well as video commentary for books;

• Creating a registry of active readers of the university;

• Identifying debtors and collecting fines;

• Providing library announcements and the «Book of the Week»;

• Electronic management of library services for students via a visual and user-friendly interface;

• Receiving and managing library payments and fines electronically;

• And other additional features.

Technologies Used: Database – PostgreSQL, Back-end – Laravel PHP Framework, Front-end – Vue.js, and others.

🛑 Library processes at «Profi University» private university were not fully digitized.
🛑 Manual tracking of library material resources caused disorder and inaccuracies.
🛑 Electronic catalogues and e-resources were not consolidated on a single platform.
🛑 Information such as overdue borrowers, fines, active students, and book statistics was not generated automatically.
🛑 There was no convenient online interface for students.
🛑 Systematic presentation of library announcements, audio/video resources, and the “Book of the Week” was absent.
